Light up the Lights! Světlo! A private showing of the exhibition

Prague 13/11/2010

An unusually warm autumn evening at Kampa in Prague welcomed more than two hundred distinguished guests to the private showing of the exhibition titled Light up the Light! Světlo!, held in the illuminated courtyard of Sova´s Mills. In his opening speech, Daniel Dvořák, the scenographer and the creator of the exhibition concept, introduced its main purpose - the chance to compare the mindsets of two outstanding authors, not only with regard to their different eras but mainly from the viewpoint of two different theatre professions. While the scenographer Josef Svoboda, in keeping with Dvořák, mainly created stories and dramas with the help of light, Robert Wilson paints haunting scenic pictures.
